Our founder, Danielle Leighton, after years of globe-trotting, family-building, and entrepreneurial wins, felt something was missing—true, meaningful connections and the thrill of new experiences. And thus, Mazzy was born: a social app designed to help women in their prime rediscover the fun and friendships they've been craving.

With the creative energy of her long-time friend and marketing guru, Anna Lusby, Danielle launched Mazzy to turn everyday moments into unforgettable adventures. Whether you're looking to try something new, find a group to share a passion, or just need a good laugh, Mazzy is here to make it happen.

Danielle Leighton is a dynamic adventurer and tech startup veteran who has truly done it all. She’s traveled solo across the world, skydived in the Alps, earned multiple degrees, built and sold companies, and is a proud mom to three beautiful kids and the sweetest lab mix.

 

Three years ago, Danielle realized she had lost touch with her true self, sparking a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. This journey led her to create Mazzy, where she brings her experiences to help women rediscover joy, stay curious, and connect deeply through shared experiences.

Anna Lusby

Anna Lusby brings decades of marketing expertise from venture-backed tech companies to Mazzy. As a conversion expert, she has a proven track record of increasing customer conversions by 4x.


When lifetime friend Danielle told Anna about her idea to help solve loneliness among middle-aged women Anna was ready to jump in and help, and not just because she could see herself reflected back, but also because as a marketer she knew the word “midlife” was the wrong word and that going after women in their prime was the path she had to take.
